The Classic Tetris NorthEast Regional is returning to RWX!
The Classic Tetris World Championship (CTWC) is an annual competition where the best Tetris players from around the globe gather to showcase their skills in the original 1989 Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) version of Tetris. Participants compete in a high-stakes, elimination-style format, with intense head-to-head battles that often result in breathtaking displays of speed, strategy, and precision.
$10 Unlimited Attempts - Play as many attempts as you are able to get in during the Qualifying period. Subject to availability on set-ups
$20 Rental Stations - Get your own personal set up to log as many high scores as you can in one (1) hour
Admission to Tetris can be purchased online through the RetroWorld Expo ticketing page by selecting Tournament Add-Ons. You can also register at the event by visiting the Tetris Tournament area to participate.
Top Qualifiers Final Bracket
The Top 12 - 16 players from Qualifying will compete in a bracketed tournament. The winner will receive $500, which can be used towards airfare to compete in the Classic Tetris World Championships held at SoCal Gaming Expo.

The DrMC (Dr. Mario Championship) is extremely happy to debut at Retro World Expo for the DrMC Connecticut Regional!
Qualifying rounds will be conducted by pools. Players sign up for the tournament by checking in with tournament staff. After signup, players will be assigned to a qualifying pool of four players.
Once a pool has been constructed, those four players will play a series of games in a round-robin format. Each player will play two games (crowns) against every other player in the pool. At the conclusion of the pool, each player will have played six games. Every player with a winning record in their pool will qualify for the knockout round later in the day.
The winner of the DrMC Connecticut Regional will get free admission to the 2024 DrMC Grand Championship at the TORG Gaming Expo in Columbus, Ohio and a cash prize (to be determined closer to the event).
